Larry Dean McDaniel started hairdressing at the age of 18 in Huntington Beach, California where he assisted and began his "behind the chair" practice of precision cutting, coloring and finish work in the salon. Always having intrigue for the fashion and celebrity world, he moved to LA to pursue his freelance career.
With great blessing & his effortless creativity, he met legendary photographer David La Chapelle, who discovered Larry's gift & passion for hairdressing. This lead him to assisting other masters of hairdressing such as Clyde Haygood, Laurent Philippon, Robert Vetica, and Shay Ashual. Larry was exposed to creative unorthodox and French technique through his work with these artists. Bringing the refinement and knowledge regarding the "fabric of hair" and proper hairdressing to life in his own career, he constantly develops and evolves his ever changing creative eye, never excluding taste, and proper proportion, balanced with an internal precision and execution of great technique.
